Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 June 2026

EMORA ("EMORA", "we", "us") is a women-first emotional wellbeing companion app. We know the conversations you have with EMORA can be deeply personal, so protecting your privacy is core to how we build. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

EMORA is a supportive wellbeing companion. It is not a medical device, mental-health diagnosis, or a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in (Google, Apple, or phone number via Firebase Authentication), we receive a basic identifier and, where available, your name and email. You may also tell us a first name and your life stage during onboarding.

Wellbeing & conversation data

To provide the service, EMORA processes the things you choose to share: your messages and voice conversations, journal entries, check-ins, moods, and optional wellbeing inputs such as energy, sleep, cycle information, and relationship reflections.

Usage & device data

We collect app usage and diagnostic data (for example, features used, session activity, and crash logs) to keep EMORA reliable and improve it.

Purchases

If you buy credits or a subscription, the app store (Apple/Google) processes your payment. We receive a purchase confirmation/receipt to validate and credit your account — we do not receive your card details.

2. How we use your information

3. AI processing & service providers

EMORA uses trusted third-party processors to deliver core features:

These providers process data on our behalf under agreements that limit their use of it to providing the service. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Sensitive data

Some information you share (such as cycle, mood, or wellbeing details) may be considered sensitive. We process it only to provide EMORA's features to you, and only with the information you choose to enter. You can choose not to provide it, though some personalization may be limited.

5. Your choices & rights

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, except where longer retention is required by law.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, secured cloud storage, and access controls — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

8. Children

EMORA is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used EMORA, contact us and we will delete the data.

9. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the date above; significant changes will be communicated in-app.
